Privacy Policy
We believe your data should be treated with the same care as our leather. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Who We Are
Danilos Fine Leather (“Danilos”, “we”, “our”) is a family-owned leather atelier headquartered in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. This policy applies to information we collect through danilos.com, our client services channels, and our retail partners.
What We Collect
We collect only what we need to serve you well and to keep our business healthy. That typically includes:
- Contact details — name, email, phone, shipping and billing addresses — when you place an order, request a quote, or subscribe to our newsletter.
- Order history — what you’ve purchased, personalized, returned, or sent in for repair.
- Payment information — handled directly by our payment processors (Shopify Payments, Stripe). We never see or store full card numbers.
- Browsing data — pages visited, device type, approximate region — via cookies and analytics tools, for the purpose of improving the site.
How We Use It
- To process and deliver your orders, including personalization and repair requests.
- To provide client service, respond to enquiries, and contact you about your order.
- To send newsletters and editorial updates — only if you’ve opted in.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used, and to make it better.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with unrelated third parties for their marketing. We do not send unsolicited promotional messages.
Service Providers
We work with a short list of trusted partners who process data on our behalf: Shopify (commerce and payments), Stripe (payments), Klaviyo (email), Vercel (hosting), and a limited set of logistics carriers including FedEx and DHL. Each is contractually obligated to handle your data only for the purposes we specify and to the same standards we apply ourselves.
Cookies
Our site uses a small number of cookies: session cookies to keep you logged in and your cart intact, preference cookies to remember your shipping region, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can decline non-essential cookies in your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to shop.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
- Object to certain types of processing.
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@danilos.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Retention
We keep order information for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically seven years). Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Browsing data is retained for no more than 26 months.
Security
All traffic to and from this site is encrypted with TLS. Payments are handled on PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure. Access to customer data inside the atelier is restricted to the team members who need it to fulfill orders.
International Transfers
Because we operate globally, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We take contractual and technical measures to ensure the same level of protection, regardless of where the data is processed.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on this page, with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance.
