A Site for Everyone
We believe that craft is only truly generous when the widest possible audience can experience it. This statement explains what we've done to make danilos.com accessible — and how we intend to keep improving.

Our Standard
We design and build danilos.com to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is the international standard that governs accessibility for public-facing websites, and it guides every decision we make — from color contrast to keyboard navigation to the way we describe a product image.
What We’ve Built In
- Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element — menus, filters, forms, carousels — can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
- Visible focus states. When you tab through the site, a clear focus ring indicates where you are.
- Semantic markup. We use HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and headings in order, so screen readers can outline the page correctly.
- Descriptive image text. Product and editorial images include meaningful alternative text. Decorative images are marked as such so they are skipped by assistive tech.
- Colour contrast. Body text meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background. Our cream and espresso palette was verified against WCAG contrast standards during design.
- Reduced motion. If your device requests reduced motion, we honour it — the cinematic reveals and transitions throughout the site are disabled for you.
- Resizable text. The site responds gracefully to browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function.
- Accessible forms. Every form field has a visible label, descriptive error text, and clear programmatic association between the two.
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is not a checkbox — it is a practice. Our engineering team runs automated audits with every deploy and a full manual review, including keyboard-only and screen reader testing, every quarter. New features are not released until they pass.
Third-Party Content
Where we embed third-party services — payments, analytics, the newsletter sign-up — we select partners that themselves meet accessibility standards and work with them to improve when they fall short.

We respond to accessibility reports within two business days and will offer an alternative way to complete whatever you were trying to do while we work on a fix.
