This is what happens when people who have lived the weight of poverty refuse to let the next generation carry it alone. Danilo's Cares was never just an idea—it was a response. A response to hunger. To abandon. To the quiet shame of showing up to school without a pencil or a smile. This mission didn't begin in a boardroom. It was born in a leather workshop in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, where one man, Danilo Martinez, remembered what it felt like to be truly seen.
When someone believed in him, it changed everything—not just his path, but his purpose. Decades later, his daughter Judith Martinez and her husband William Gore carried that purpose forward—not with pity, but with power.
Their mission was shaped not by observation, but by experience. They knew what poverty felt like. They knew what hope cost. And they believed that love, when put into action, could be transformational.
Our Core Programs
Dental Health Clinics
Judith spent years working in a dental office, where she saw something many overlook: poor oral health often leads to lifelong health issues, especially for children. In Honduras, access to dental care is scarce. Our clinics provide:
- Free dental treatments
- Dental hygiene kits
- Engaging, age-appropriate oral health education
It's not just about fixing teeth—it's about restoring confidence, preventing future illness, and protecting childhoods.
Backpack Mission
In communities where education often comes second to survival, something as simple as a backpack can make all the difference. This program provides:

Mentorship & Youth Development
Poverty isolates. Mentorship connects. Our mentors walk alongside young people, offering consistent support and life guidance. This isn't guidance from a distance. It's walking hand-in-hand until they can lead on their own. Through workshops, conversations, and community, we help youth:
